We'll have Snap Circuits®, mini robots, finger knitting, and a host of other hands-on activities to try out. Family Read Aloud Book Club R Tuesday, Jul. 24 | 6:30–7:30pm All Ages | McKune Room Read One Crazy Summer, Rita Williams-Garcia's award- winning tale of a tumul- tuous summer in 1968, then share your crazy summer experiences with other fam- ilies! PaleoJoe D Tuesday, Aug. 7 | 6:30–7:30pm All Ages | McKune Room Meet PaleoJoe, a paleon- tologist who works on dinosaur digs all over the country. He'll bring dinosaurs to life with teeth and skull repro- ductions, dinosaur pup- pets, and amazing fossils in this interactive program! Alex Thomas & Friends Puppet Show D Wednesday, Jun. 20 | 2–3pm | All Ages | McKune Room This interactive puppet show features amazing puppets, jokes, stories, silliness, and all around fun. Stay after to meet the characters, take a photo, and receive a personalized autograph. Wildlife Safari D Wednesday, Jun. 27 | 2–3pm OR 3:30–4:30 pm | All Ages | McKune Room Creatures great and small will be at the library for a unique hands-on experience. Meet and touch a variety of different animals as Nelson "The Animal Guy" shares stories and fun facts. Intro to Theater Workshop D Wednesday, Jul. 11 | 2–3pm | Ages 6–11 | McKune Room Instructors from 4th Wall Theatre Company will work with kids to create a mini theater show with singing, dancing, and/or acting. Families are invited back for the last 10 minutes to view the performance! Supermarket Science D Wednesday, Jul. 18 | 2–3pm | Ages 6–11 | McKune Room Funnyman Doug Scheer will show us how simple household items can be used to perform quirky and crazy science experiments. Surprises and comedy are on the menu with these wacky hands-on experiments! 3D Printing Workshop R Wednesday, Jul. 25 | 2–4pm | Ages 8–12 with parent | McKune Room Learn basic geometry and drafting skills to design 3D objects using TinkerCAD and Thingiverse! Participants can sign up for separate time slots to print the objects they design. The library will contact participants with more setup instructions. Each month, we'll have a different challenge or group-build activities and time for free play. All creations will go on display. We also have Duplos for our youngest LEGO®aficionados to enjoy! Kindergarten Spanish Club R Mondays | 11–11:45am | Ages 4–6 | Jun. 18 & 25 | Jul. 9, 16, 23 & 30 | McKune Room Learn Spanish this summer with language teacher Cynthia Golick.
