Tween Book Club: Shiloh R Tuesday, Jan. 23 | 3:30–4:30pm | Ages 9–12 | McKune Room When Marty discovers a lost beagle puppy in the woods, he tries to return Shiloh to his owner. But Judd Travers mistreats his dogs, and Marty must decide what's right—save Shiloh and lie to his parents, or return him to Judd. At book club, we'll have a snack, discuss the book, and do an activity related to the story. Register by coming in or calling (734) 475-8732, opt. 4, and get a free copy of the book. Animals Above and Below the Snow R Wednesday, Feb. 7 | 3:30–4:30pm | Ages 6–11 | McKune Room Join Miss Katie from the Eddy Discovery Center to learn about the tracks made from active animals on top of the snow, then explore the space below where smaller animals forage and nest. We'll even make an animal track craft to take home! In partnership with the Eddy Discovery Center. Parenting 101: Preventing Problem Behavior in Young Children R Sunday, Jan. 21 | 2–3pm McKune Room Toddlers' and preschoolers' challenging behaviors can throw parents for a loop! Dr. K atherine Tennant will share communication strategies to address and prevent tantrums and other problem behaviors. Dr. Tennant practices in pediatric primary care at the University of Michigan and works with children, teenagers, and their families to cope with common behavioral issues. New !
