A grant from Aroha Philanthropies has allowed United Methodist Retirement Communities (UMRC) to offer arts instruction, taught by local artists, to its residents. CDL is honored to partner with UMRC to showcase these creative talents in an exhibition during the month of December. Each work of art is a testament that every individual is capable of creating beauty, regardless of age. In part- nership with UMRC. Can't come to the library? Let the library come to you! Lynn Wagner Carol Edman If you or a loved one has trouble getting to the library because of permanent or temporary illness or disability and live within the library district, you can have books and other items delivered right to your home. CDL Delivers! gives patrons access to a variety of materials including: regular and large print books, books on CD, magazines, music CDs, and a limited selection of DVDs. Delivery services are tailored to each individual's needs and may include regular monthly or bi-monthly deliveries of books selected by a librarian or a trained volunteer OR more sporadic deliveries of specifically requested items. The library delivers to individual residences within its district and makes regular stops at Silver Maples and within the United Methodist Retirement Communities, including the Pines, Dancey House, and Glazier Commons.
