Welcome to our newsletter full of articles, resources, programs, and much more! Our mission at Chelsea District Library is to Engage, Inspire, and Equip through evolving services and resources. We hope that as you turn the last page, you will have found we've done just that! FALL 2018 NEWSLETTER S e p t e m b e r | O c t o b e r | N o v e m b e r Snap Shot 2 Fall | chelseadistrictlibrary.org So many fun and exciting things are happening at CDL this fall! Leaf through the pages of this newsletter and you will find programs, resources, and services designed to en- gage, inspire, and equip you. Song Fest returns for its second year and features the critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Freedy Johnston. Working with 5 Healthy Towns and Chelsea Schools, we will kick off Walk to School Wednesdays. And we've added a Bike Repair Station to our grounds. This fall, we will also host American Farmer—a national touring exhibition that celebrates our community's rich farming heritage. We're kicking things off in Lima Town- ship at our Rockin' on the Farm event at Bel Liberty Farm. Farmer Jason (the alter ego of Americana music legend Jason Ringenberg) travels from his Nashville farm as a highlight of a rollicking afternoon filled with music, activities, and fun. We hope to see you there! What's on My Nightstand? In that time, we have donated hundreds of quilts to the University of Michi- gan's Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, Chelsea's Faith in Action, and the St. Louis Center. Each quilt is a collaborative effort and no two are the same." On the Cover CDL is committed to encouraging, collecting, and showcasing our community's cultural out- put. As part of this initiative, each quarterly cover will showcase artwork or photography submitted by local residents.
